Take a look at my sig.. I have an Athlon II 645 running on an AM2 board thanks to a BIOS update from Asus. It doesn't look as though there are any updates for that specific EMX board though, so it probably won't work.

yes is different case , definitely in ASUS site motherboard M2NPV-VM AM2 support with the Athlon X2 II - X4
