can Gigabyte GA-H61M-DS2 handle it?

Hello guys,

Can GA-H61M-DS2 run R9 270x? I mean will I face any issues or damage my mobo if I do so..
Right now I have a r9 270x of a friend's to use for like 20 days because he doesn't has a PSU.. I originally own a HD6770.

ga-h61m-ds2
corsair cx500
ripjawsx 4gb
1tb hdd..

It should be able to handle it. All you need is a 16x PCIe slot. PCIe 3.0 is backwards compatible.
