i have ancient ms 7788 mobo and i5 3470

im a casual gamer i only play rainbow six siege for this set-up also low graphics won't mind especially r6 not too much demanding.

Make and model of your monitor? Even if your GPU could support, if your monitor doesn't have the option to go beyond 60Hz~65Hz, there's no point with 144Hz gaming. Also, read through this thread.
