Hello Everyone,

Let me preface this by saying I am not an IT or tech person. I am from a social work background and this system is for my wife who is starting her medical residency.

I just bought a used HP Compaq 8200 Elite SFF with Intel i7, 16 GB Ram, 480 SSD Drive system. Can I connect two 32 inch monitors to it or do I need a graphics card update for this ?. The monitor I intend to use is the "Acer EZ321Q wi 32" IPS Monitor, 1920x1080 @60Hz".

This would be for regular office use and not for any gaming or very high performance required activity. I am planning to use the VGA port for one monitor and to use a HDMI to display port connector for the second monitor. If I need a graphics card, can some one please recommend what would be a good choice ?

Any help or information will be immensely appreciated.

Thank you again, any resources that you can recommend for Synching color between the VGA and DP/HDMI displays ? I was not even sure that was possible in the first place.
You can use the menus/settings on the displays themselves. You really don't need anything else, other than patience.
Driving two 1080p displays should not be an issue for the purposes stated above.

Keep in mind, this is dated tech.

Thanks a lot for the reassuring response. I know this is dated stuff but did not had the means to buy one brand new at this time. As long as the desktop holds two monitors and USB's and sounds work, we are happy.

Should be okay then. Synching color between the VGA and DP/HDMI displays might take a little effort to get to match. Otherwise, should be okay.

These sorts of rigs were often used the same way (2 displays) in office environments. Fairly common.
