Can I add a stick of 16gb DDR4 to a previous 8gb DDR4?

Currently I have a GA-A320M-S2H mobo, Ryzen 7 1700x 3.5ghz, and Ballistix Sport LT 8GB Single DDR4 2666 MT/s. I wanted to know if I could add a stick of 16gb of DDR4 to the existing 8gb, as long as the 16gb maintained the 2666 MT/s.

It's risky to mix and match memory modules. They may or may not be compatible.
You should try selling your 8gb module and then buy a 2x8 GB kit.

You shouldn't mix two RAM sticks that are from different producers. Try searching up your motherboard online to see if your motherboard is safe using two different RAM sticks.
