so, i've searched for the good AM4 motherboard that compatible with ryzen APU, and i see the B350 is the good one. cuz, it's cheap and support overclocking. And i thought i will buy the Asrock B350M. But, when i read the feature, it's written "A-Series APU (Bristol Ridge) is supported by connecting external graphics card."
So, is the Ryzen APU not supported for an external GPU for this motherboard?
i see the X370 supported multi external GPUs, but it's to expensive for me.

Solution
Firstly Bristol ridge aren't ryzen or vega, there repurposed Athlon based cpu's just made to fit the same socket .

You want raven ridge , essentially just the 2200g & 2400g.

& yes you can add a discrete gpu to these in the future, a lot of people are buying these for the exact reason you're considering it.

A couple of caveats

1. You want as fast ram as possible to use the integrated gpu for gaming - 2666kHz dual channel as an absolute minimum

2. A lot of b350 boards require a bios update to run these cpu's.old stock will be on a bios that is too old to be compatible.
Updated boards will have a 'ryzen 2000 ready' label on the advertising & on the box.
Its impossible to update a board without first running an older Bristol ridge apu...
The APU has an onboard GPU within the processor die. It's more powerful than what Intel has on their CPU's. If you intend to drop in a discrete GPU, it rules out the point of having to buy an APU in the first place. If you're going for an APU, it would be because you want a small form factor machine and you don't run graphic intensive games or apps. If you do run graphics intensive apps and games, then you're going to need a discrete GPU.

So to end, what are the rest of your components in your build looking like? What are your usage scenarios?

so, i read the news that GPU prices are going down, but, in my country the prices still not going down, maybe i need to wait for 6 months or 1 year for the prices going down. so i decided to build a ryzen APU PC build, i've followed the ryzen APU update from it release until now, watch some reviews on youtube, looking for the global benchmark, and i think this is the best solution for overpriced GPU.
And so, i wanna build an PC with APU, and gonna upgrade it soon with the GTX 1050 Ti after the GPU prices going down in my country.
btw, i build pc for do multi tasking work, rendering my projects, and i like gaming but i am not a hardcore gamer, so i'm not going for gtx 1060 or higher .

If you're buying from a physical shop they 'should' be able to update it before you take it home,
