Can i boot my computer without hard drive?

I only have two sata cables, but i have three devices that need one: optical drive, sdd and hard drive.

To start and setup my computer, can i just connect the optical drive and sdd without the harddrive, to install OS and all that?

I will get a third sata cable in a few days

Hi there Victor182,

Apart from the fact that you can do that, I would say that it is even advisable to perform OS installation with no other drives attached.
Sometimes, if you perform OS installation with several drives attached to the system, it may not be able to boot if you take one of your secondary storage drives out(HDD in your case).
