So I'm flying to the UK from Greece tomorrow and I was wondering if there are any airport security issues of carrying a metal cased desktop computer (I think the material of the casing it is sth like steel or aluminum) in my checked in luggage.I will leave only the PSU inside. And secondly, can x-rays not penetrate the casing and result to a problem?

Thanks

You should probably call the airline and ask them. They can tell you with greater accuracy what is allowed, what is not allowed, and what is going to cause issues. Otherwise, you might get to the airport only to find you cannot take it with you.
