I have no idea if it's a stupid question just want to be sure.

Planning to upgrade my gtx 645 OEM card to one of the newest generations 1060/70. Might aswell wait for the 20 series but we'll see.

So is it a problem?

P.S. My computer is the wildy distributed Predator G3-605 -- GTX 645 / i5-4440

Yes you can change out the original graphics card. The main considerations when doing this will be the length of the card in relation to your case(will it fit) and the other is if your power supply has enough power and the correct amount of connections and pins for the card.
Changing the card is not a problem. First measure to make sure it will fit in your case.

Whether your PSU is good enough is typically the problem.
The 1060 requires 400W and the 1070 450-500W.
Then you have to make sure your PSU has the right connectors.
One 1070 card may need a single 6-pin connector and some need a 6-pin and and 8-pin.

500 watts and i'm not sure about the second question... Not really pro in changing specs as i have never actually have done it.

I knew the PSU would be a problem as mine is kinda low for that card. Dang.

PCIE cables are 6 and 6+2 cables that power graphic cards.
