Can I change frequency on some memory types?

Basically, I have a Pentium G3258 processor that supports DDR3-1333MHz RAM. Can I have my RAM clocked to a different frequency though? I'm not asking if you can use 1600MHz ram in a 1333MHz supported processor, I know it will automatically underclock, but can you use any different frequency than 1333MHz?

Solution
Yes, you can use any frequency RAM. If you want to run it at that frequency, you just need a Z97 board and the courage to go into the lands of BIOS to set the XMP. Otherwise, it'll just run at 1333 or below. Not that it matters much.
