Can i connect Internal Blu-ray Driver to laptop by usb to sata ide converter

hello my dear friends ,
i was planing to buy Pioneer BDR-205 205BK blu-ray burner which is internal sata drive
and i am planning to use it with my laptop .

i cant find 5.25 enclosure but i have this usb to sata ide cable and external power

so you think this gonna work nicely without problems ?

It might work but if that adapter is usb1 or 1.1 then don't expect any performance from it. You should probably be at least usb2.0 with bluray.

it says on my box that it is usb 2.0
