Can I convert primary display to side-by-side?

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for a way to change my monitor's display to side-by-side.

So far the links I've found are for dual-monitor setups. I want just one monitor, with two identical halves (L/R).

It's for viewing through VR glasses (a la Cardboard), in case anyone's wondering.

If you could point me in the right direction that would be great too, thanks!
