Hello,

Bought a new HP Pavilion computer but now found that belkin and netgear router adaptors are not compatible. Is there anything out there that is going to work with windows 8.

Laptop/desktop and are you using wi-fi or a dedicated input from router.

would concur with alyoshka, if wi-fi it is not the router.

Currently only have win 8 on my laptop (about a year old) and I have had NO problems with connection at work nor public access (ie Doctors office, Bowling center). AT home my router and Cable modum are quite old and I also have no problems.

If the "belkins" refers to a USB wireless adaptor, then have you checked Belkins website for a Windows 8 driver.

Try this link: http://www.google.com/#hl=en&tbo=d&sclient=psy-ab&q=belkin+wireless+g+usb+adapter+windows+8&oq=Belkins+wireless+USD+adaptor+for+windows+8&gs_l=hp.1.1.0i22l4.1420.23838.0.28612.42.41.0.1.1.0.686.8600.0j22j16j2j0j1.41.0.les%3B..0.0...1c.1.2.hp.l7cWzKEWUN4&pbx=1&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_qf.&bvm=bv.41867550,d.b2I&fp=47adb63d00368a85&biw=1547&bih=764

If the driver is loaded try "Right hand click the exe. for the driver and run it under windows 7 compatibility mode"
If not loaded then as mcnupty23 suggested try the windows 7 driver - Bu install using windows 7 compatability
