Can I get an external disk drive for my laptop?

Hey Guys,

So I have gotten a new laptop but it doesn't have a disk drive so I can play and write to CDs and so I can play some old PC games I have (like age of mythology and morrowind).

So can I buy an external one which supports burning songs and videos to? And also that I can play old games on like age of mythology?

Also, which one would you recommend as I dont want to spend too much, I live in the UK.

Blu ray burners will cost quite a bit more though.
