That mobo does have onboard video inc HDMI. http://www.asrock.com/mb/intel/H97%20Pro4/index.asp?cat=
My motherboard supports Intel HD graphics and yes I am using my i5-4590 integrated graphics(through HDMI), since I stated I took out my GPU in the OP...I dont think my MOBO's I/O would have an HDMI slot if it didn't support it would it?!
HDMI is audio and video. But the drivers for the onboard video have to be installed so it'll work.
Yes I thought HDMI was always AUDIO and VIDEO as well, but I saw in another TH post someone say that some motherboards don't support the HDMI audio, but just the video...which is new info to me(and partially why I made this post).
Did you install the video drivers? And are you using the onboard video?
Yes I have Realtek audio drivers installed. Yes I have video drivers...Windows automatically installed the drivers for my Intel HD Graphics when I booted it up the first time without the R9280, and when I go to device manager it says that the driver is up to date.
How do you know HDMI doesn't work then, if you don't know if the mobo supports it lol?
What are you talking about...when did I say HDMI doesn't work? When did I ever say I don't know that my mobo supports it? I'm sorry if I wasn't clear, but I took out my GPU and am using my CPU's integrated graphics. I have HDMI going from my mobo's HDMI slot on the I/O panel to my TV. I get video, but not sound. I did however get sound once I plugged in a 3.5mm cable into the front 3.5mm jack on my case(which is my mobo's audio, and also shows that I have the drivers installed right?)
Have you connected an HDMI cable from the onboard video to the TV? Obviously you have to switch the AV channel on the TV to the input you've connected the HDMI to (from the PC)
I am using HDMI right now from my mobo to my TV. I get picture, just not sound. No i don't have to switch the AV channel since I am already on the correct channel and viewing this page on my TV through HDMI.
Is there a digital audio (HDMI) in sounds?
Look at the post above this one for the answer to that! I was gonna say read the entire thread, or at least the OP's posts...but then realized maybe you were responding when that post came in?
