Question Can I get the 3080 to play 1080 p

newbie question that I never had the answer too , can I get the 3080 for 1080 p and upgrade monitor later , will this affect my component in a bad way (cpu , gpu, ) ?

It's totally fine. That card is overkill tho for 1080p but it won't damage anything. You can change your monitor later and that's perfect

I expect you have a good PSU for the RTX 3080 right?

I got a thermaltake bronze 750 w I think I should be fine with it considering nvidia suggested a 750 minimum
