Question can i have 3 monitors on a ryzen 7 build with out putting stress on my gpu

so im planning on upgrading my build from my i5 4460 and ddr3 ram to a ryzen 7 2700x and I still want to be able to have 3 monitors without putting stress on my 1070 am I able to buy a second graphics card and use that one for my other 2 monitors and keep my main monitor on my 1070

What do you mean by stress? When adding a second or third monitor you are going to increase the power draw and probably the temps of the 1070. But there are no savings by adding a second card because that's going to add it's own power and temps. You are honestly best just putting all the monitors on the single 1070. It's strong enough to do that.

I used to have a 3 monitor setup. I had them all plugged into my 7950/R9 280. Worked just fine. No issues. Your card is many times stronger.

i mean by dropping fps of the GPU I try the 3 monitors on my GPU before and it drops the 20-30 fps in apex legends when having discord, mis afterburner, SpeedFan, origin, and steam running

That's probably more the fault of your i5 CPU. 4C/4T isn't a lot for a game and other stuff. When I ran my 7950 I was using the 3770K which is 4C/8T. Getting more CPU power is probably the issue there.

The major load on a graphics card is fast action gaming.
If you are playing triple monitor games, I think you will need a very strong graphics card.
OTOH, if you game on one monitor, adding two relatively static side monitors will add little stress to the graphics card.
Running many tasks will require many threads. You are getting 16 with a 2700X, more than enough over your current 4.

At the very least, you will have the wherewithal to test things out when you get the new processor.
No need to prematurely buy a second graphics adapter.
