Hey everybody, so my birthday is coming up and I've been thinking for a while about building a pc. As with anything, you should know the in's and out's when you buy something so whilst i have been researching computer building i'm wondering if there's anything that wont work together.
Here's my list=
Operating System-Windows 10 Pro OEM -64 bit = $64
Keyboard-Bluefinger cm200 = $35
Monitor-HP Pavilion 21.5 Inch Monitor = $99
Mother Board- Biostar TH61A = $55
Or
Alternative Mother Board-MSI Z68A-G43 (G3) = $109
VGA Cable- SVGA HD Cable M-M 02m = $16
CPU-Intel Core i5-3570k = $100
GPU-ATI Radeon R9 270X 2GB DX11 = $150
RAM- HyperX Fury Red Series HX316C10FRK2/8 = $37
PSU- EVGA 500W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX PSU = $46
Case- Thermaltake Commander MS-1 Epic Edition = $63
CPU Cooler-Cooler Master Hyper TX3 EVO = $38
Thermal Paste- Cooler Master V1 IC Thermal Paste = $9
Optical Drive- ASUS 24x DVDRW SATA 3.5" Drive = $25
Hard Drive- Seagate 1TB 3.5" SATA3 HDD 7200RPM BARRACUDA 1TB SATA III = $79
Wi-Fi USB Adapter- Edimax EW-7612UAN = $19
Headphones-Sades Sa708 LED Stereo = $16
Price = $772*
=$826* (with alternative motherboard)
*Excluding postage and handling pricing.
My friend has told me that he believes the cpu will fulfill my needs for gaming. I thought i would be okay for a while and i'd be able to overclock it a lot. Is this woefully under-powerful.
Also there are quite a few LGA 1155 mobo's that recquire a sandy bridge (maybe ivy bridge cant remember) cpu for the ability to run 1600 ram. Will the i5-3570k be able to run my ram.
