Can I hook up a monitor to a USB port?

Hey all,

I have a computer with a HDMI output and 2 usb outputs. I want to hook up 2 monitors to this laptop. I am wondering if it is possible to hook up some sort of adapter so I can have a second monitor via the USB ports?

Say I have a 2nd monitor with a DVI or HDMI port, can I buy some sort of adapter to hook that up through the USB port? Hope that makes sense. Obviously the HDMI port on the laptop can be used for the first monitor.

Yes, but only medium res and no gaming.

USB3 one's are better, but only really for productivity, not gaming.

You could also use a matrox adapter. A bit pricey but works way better.
