Can I install and play Fallout 4 without internet?

Here is the problem. I have no internet on my gaming PC (motherboard does not have a wifi connector). I heard that Fallout 4 requires internet download from steam even if I buy the physical disk, so if that is the case I cannot use my computer to finish the installation.

I however do have internet on my laptop, so I can download files from there. Can I download the steam files from my laptop then transfer it to my pc then manually add it to the fallout directory? Will it work? If all this fails I am just going to download a pirated version of it in my laptop then copy it to my gaming pc and install it from there, so in that case I am not going to waste my money buying an original copy.

If there is no install option using a physical disc, then

1) They went too far
2) I wouldn't support a company that does that (however, if you think you'll like the game, then that's not possible is it!)

I will say this though. The reason is probably because PC games aren't using blu-ray discs to store more information on. I'm afraid there's nothing you can do if it requires an internet connection.

I believe it should be possible, unless the files are tied to each computer, I'm sure you can do this with save files though, but probably not the entire game. Someone should correct me if I'm wrong here.

All the best!

Just lay a cable from your router to your gaming PC just for the download if you need to download something. I mean your laptop isnt getting wifi out of nowhere. 😀
And yes, it's also possible to copy files from one pc to another, but Steam recently changed something which made it a tiny bit harder to get these copied games to run. I forgot what it was but really no big thing you can still copy stuff and play it. (If you actually own it)

It would suck if i buy the original one and cannot install it so end up downloading the pirated one anyway. It would be a waste of money, so I would like to know it earlier hand.

Sadly most of today's game require internet access to update and play. But how in the world do you not have internet access on your gaming desktop?

I would suggest you get a pci wireless card or a USB wireless dongle to give you desktop wireless access.

Why would you pirate a game you actually own if you need to copy BOTH versions anyway to your other PC?

You can copy stuff into Steam.

If I install steam on my laptop which can access the internet (slow internet mind you) should I place the game product code there then download whatever that will be download then copy it to my PC? I am not sure if I can do that. What I am wondering is that does the computer which has steam needs to have the game installed in it. Or can it be done by having the game installed in a different computer? All i need to do in that case is just copy whatever I downloaded from steam from my laptop to my gaming PC. I am sorry if all this sounds noobish but I have absolutely no experience in using steam.

If it's a Steam key then it doesnt matter where you activate it, as long as it's on YOUR Steam account. If it's a non-Steam key (i dont know if these even exist) then it has to be activated on the pc you want to play it on.
You can download it on your laptop and then copy the whole folder to your PC. It should do the typical Steam "install" on the first launch there. Normally works without internet.

Just get a powerline adapter or a wireless usb dongle so you can have internet on your gaming pc. Powerline adapters plug straight into wall outlets and are generally faster than wifi and a bit slower than your hardline. Just my .02.

If your laptot has ethernet port, you can configure a bridge connection between its wifi card and ethernet card, then you could share the internet connection trought ethernet to your gaming pc ; )

Shurely you can find a bunch of tutorials all over the net on how to configure this. Its really usefull to update computers without direct internet connection too.

Good luck!
