Yes, as long as you have enough storage for dual boot.

I agree. You will need to open up Disk manager and partition space for Ubuntu (15GB should do). Then you can install Ubuntu on the new partition.

Just trying to clear things a bit, Ubuntu installer will create the partition for you, if not, they will have a step within their installation that asks you to partition directly in their process just like Windows installation. At least that's what happened to me.

That is true, which is what I did to dual boot my laptop. However, you would need a mounting software to do that. I personally like Virtual Clone Drive. It's lightweight and easy to use.
