Can i install graphics card that require PCI 2.0x16(x8 lanes)

I have ASRock G31M-VS Mother board.
In specs they have given only "1 x PCI Express x16 slot" But in Graphics card specification they given "Bus standard : PCI Express 2.0x16(x8 lanes)"
Plz tell me can i install graphics card which require PCI 2.0x16(x8 lanes).... thanks in advance
