Hello. Im new to this forum. This is my first pc rig. The motherboard that Im buying is GIGABYTE GA-78LMT-S2PV.
http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4813#ov

this board has inbuilt AMD radeon HD 3000 graphics and since Im not buying my gpu anytime soon I have to use the onboard graphics to do my work for now. Im planning to buy zotac gtx 1050ti OC edition (4 Gb). My question is, will it work on my mobo? considering it already has an AMD graphics card inbuilt in it. Although the mobo has a pci-ex16 slot (PCI 2 though, but I heard that any gpu with PCI 3 can work on PCI 2 slot). Please help me out on this.

my specs are.

AMD FX 6300
8 GB DDR3 HyperX fury ram
zotac GTX 1050ti OC 4GB(will buy later)
corsair vs550 psu
WD 1 TB internal HDD

oh yes the selection is large! what you have chosen is a pretty solid choice! remember when making the switch to the gpu later to enable dedicated graphics in the system bios!

Is it necessary? After I install my gpu, the monitor will be connected to my gpu, not cpu, and the graphics processing will be done by the gpu. And since the gpu is of Nvidia and the inbuilt one is from AMD, enabling the inbuilt wont cause problem? I mean I wont buy AMD gpu so that i can crossfire.

Well, I own a PC with a Gigabyte 78 motherboard with an A8 7600, for a year used only the processor without external GPU, good for the price, but then installed a GTX 750ti, I only did this:
- Computer OFF
- Install GTX 750ti to PCIE
- Connect HDMI cable (or VGA) to 750ti
- Turn on PC
- Install drivers
- Done

Never touched the BIOS settings, at least not with my motherboard.
