Right now I have a HP XW4600 Workstation PC with Core 2 Quad Q9400 2.66 GHz, 6GB RAM (Planning to upgrade to 8GB by buying one more stick of 2GB), Asus R7 240 2GB Low Profile (Also planning to upgrade to 750 Ti or 1050) and Seagate Barracuda 3.5" 2TB HDD. I am thinking of replacing this 2TB HDD with a Seagate Firecuda 3.5" 2TB Gaming SSHD because I want faster load times. I want to ask that would this SSHD will even work with my PC or not?

Link for my PC: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01184908
Link for the SSHD I want: http://www.seagate.com/internal-hard-drives/hdd/firecuda/

:. Sorry for my Bad English.

It's not that it wouldn't be compatible, the drive would work (SATA 6Gb/s is backwards compatible), it's just that your motherboard is only capable of 3GB/s SATA speed, so you would only see the 3GB/s speed unless you moved to a newer board capable of 6Gb/s speeds.

This means I also have to upgrade my PC to get the full potential of the sshd? I have seen that the sshd I want requires SATA 6GB/s (3GB/s and 1.5GB/s are also compatible) while my PC have SATA 3GB/s. Is that the reason?

The problem is SSDs are expensive and I want a 2TB drive which is cheap and fast
