Can I install windows on a new HDD with the same key?

I have Windows 7 Ultimate (retail), can I install it on a new hard drive using the same key? This is for a new PC, new motherboard, graphics card, etc. if that matters

You should be able to install it just fine so long as you havent used the key too many times and as long as its a OEM key, which is ussually the cheaper option if you purchased it off the shelf at bestbuy or frys or another store. The difference between it and retail is mostly that OEM does not have any kind of microsoft assistance while the retail will. I hope this helps you out, ive had to do the same thing several times and its worked each time.

as long as your not using it on more than one computer you will have no problems.
