Can I just buy 6 pin power connectors?

Solution
^^ Agreed. That one is SLI certified and runs 750w. For the most part, it should have more than enough power, and more than enough of the connectors needed, and it's a single rail setup.

You could probably get away with a slightly lower spec unit (600w or so) and still have more than enough overhead unless you're really overclocking it. Also, if you're only running a single GPU, try and find a modular unit (or semi-modular) as that will help you keep your wiring a bit cleaner since you'll only be plugging in what you need.

This would be a little cheaper, and is still a solid PSU (has occasional failures but good warranty):

most psu's in the market nowadays have two 6-pin connectors, just check the psu specs, before buying.
If you are using an older psu that has molex adapters, you need to buy molex to 6-pin adapters
