Hello everybody, and thank you for reading!
I just have a quick compatibility question for you today- Can I simply buy a second one of these RAM packages (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231847&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-PCPartPicker,%20LLC-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID=) to put into this motherboard (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157507&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-PCPartPicker,%20LLC-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID=) to double my available memory and still use dual channel mode?
Thanks again!

Actually it's a big maybe, no guarantees when mixing DRAM - even of the same exact model. The forums are full of threads of people trying to mix packages and getting no where. Also, there aren't two dual channels. DUAL channel is dual channel (2 channels period, each has two slots) and the channels have to work/play together as one. Each stick of DRAM is an individual 64bit device, when running in dual channel mode all the DRAM is seen as an 128 bit device. Might take a look at my FAQs and Fiction articles, especially Fiction items 2 and 6:

Basically it's 50/50, I've gotten identical sets straight from the manufacturer and they might play, they might no, also can depend on the rig, sometimes they might play on one mobo but not another - which is why the manufacturers rtest sticks before they package any to ensure they have sticks that will play - also why larger sets (like a 4 stick package) often cost more than 2 sets of 2, it takes more testing to find 4 sticks that will play nice

So I'm probably best off just buying a larger set of 2 RAM sticks to still be able to use dual channel... But if I'm lucky and I do get to have to have 32 GB of RAM, Will it be 32 GB of dual channel, 2 separate 16 GB dual channel partitions so to speak or 32 GB of non dual channel memory?

Just because you asked, I currently have 16 GB of RAM and was looking to expand to 32. I use the PC for Autodesk inventor, well over 1,00 piece assemblies.
