[SOLVED] Can I maintain 144hz with this cable (DP to DVI-D)

My question is if I can get 144hz on my monitor using this cable. DP would connect to my GPU and the DVI to my monitor.

I’m asking this because I believe the DP port on my monitor dies because I tried my cable on another computer and it worked. Both GPU outputs work on my second monitor.

What resolution is the monitor? For 1080p@144z it would require an active DP to dual link dvi adapter and those are fairly expensive at ~$100.

The monitor is an ASUS VG248QE.
