I currently have 2 x 4gb of Patriot Viper Steel 3200mhz but i am considering getting some more of the exact same RAM but 2 x 8gb as there is a good deal on. Will this work?
Ryzen 5 1600
Gtx 970
Msi A-Pro Max mobo

For a lot of moderator here not apparently, I ve a thread open and they are saying that you can t mix any kind of ram, just buy a kit with what you need.
But actually I contacted the support of g.skill an any other companies also(like also msi that do mobo) and they say, if they have the same chip(for example 3200mhz cls 16 1.35v) there is no problem.

No moderator has stated "It will never work."
It is always a case of 'maybe'.

OTOH, anyone who states "It always works." is sadly deluded.

I m not saying tjat always work, sorry if I m not explaning propriely.
Some ram producer when I asked to the support sayed that if the specs are the same there shoud be no problem miximg them, obviusly a kit is way more stable
