Can I mix different Ram speeds ? (Ryzen build)

Hello

I just got a (g.skill sniper x 8gb ddr4 3000mhz) ram as a gift
And I was wondering if it's going to work with my build since it has different speed

*Mobo has 4 ram slots*

Current ram : ballistex 8gb ddr4 2400mhz (single channel)
Mobo : gigabyte ab350m gaming 3 *Mobo has 4 ram slots*
CPU : ryzen 7 1700

Since you have it you can try but nothing is guaranteed. Different brands with different speeds and CAS are a no-go.
