Can I mount my motherboard at a 45 degree angle?

I was looking to make my own case from acrylic, and was wondering about mounting the motherboard at a 45 degree angle. I was wondering if this could do any harm to the board or anything on the board. I plan on mounting the video card separately from the board using an extension cable, and plan on using water cooling.

Provided it's secure, it can't imagine it would be a problem.

My only concerns would be the differing distribution of weight from a GPU or larger CPU cooler, but with liquid & a PCIe riser, you shouldn't have those issues.

Assuming everyting was secure and supported properly there is no reason why it would not work.

Now depeding on how thermal solution was mounted it could decrease flow and cause resistance from the natural cold to hot flow of air inside the case.
