Question can i oc the i5 8400 higher than its?

hey guys. this is the first time im overclocking so i was wondering if i can oc the i5 8400 higher than its turbo boost. i tried changing the BCKL from 102 to 103 but it caused the system not booting. i removed the battery and it went back to normal. what happens if i increase the voltage or ratio?

specs:
core i5 8400
ASUS Z370 P

You can't increase voltage or ratio, it doesn't support that since it is not a K-series/unlocked CPU. The i5-8400 is not an overclocking CPU, but it can be done by BCLK overclocking, even though I don't really recommend it.

See if your mainboard supports the 9600K, flash the BIOS first, and sell off the 8400 ....

In the interim, perhaps the Asus board might let you at least run all cores at max turbo with MCE on?

what about the RAM? my board supports up to 4000Mhz and i have 2400 ram. i have overcloked it a little bit by recommended settings to 2467. but is there way to oc to like 2600?
