Hello everyone :)

I'm going to upgrade my gaming pc pretty soon (specs below)

Case: Corsair Carbide 300R Midi Tower
Motherboard: Gigabyte Motherboard H97-HD3 (H97/1150/DDR3)
PSU: 835W (I'm not going to name the brand since it's only available on my country/probbably going to change it as well in the future with a more known brand 😛)
CPU: Intel CPU Core i7 4790K (1150/4.00 GHz/8 MB)
GPU: Strix-GTX970-DC2OC-4GD5
RAM: Corsair 8GB DDR3
HDD: x1 500gb/x2. WD Blue Desktop HDD 1 TB 7200rpm
Cooling: Corsair CPU Cooler Hydro H100i GTX Extreme Performance

So my question is, will I be able to OC my CPU with this motherboard I have picked?
I know it's a powerful CPU already but I would just like to know if it is possible

Thank you for your time and take care :)

For sure! Gigabyte is overclock friendly. Perhaps not the most complete and most advanced in terms of overclocking, for that I would go for a Asus or ARrock.
But since you are just beginning, it's fine.
