Can I play games on Quadro 5000 card ?

Hi;

I recently purchased refurbished Dell T7500 with the following specs:

2x XEON X5675 3.06GHZ SIX CORE CPU'S WITH 12MB CACHE

48GB MEMORY

NVIDIA QUADRO FX 1800

Dell Precision T7500 1100W PSU H1100EF

- I'm Microsoft Systems Engineer , so I purchased this machine just to create Virtual VMS by Microsoft hyper-v or VMware but at the same time I need to play online games sometimes ( heroes of the storm ) & ( heroes of newrth ) and never use any graphic or design applications

Now i need to change this poor graphic card (Quadro FX 1800) ... Shall i buy Quadro 5000 or equal gaming graphic card from NVidia ?

Does my machine will accept and compatible with the gaming graphic cards ?

So in brief I need to know if I can install gaming card as GTX 750 or higher and it will work fine with my workstation

OR

Buy Quadro 4000 or 5000 and the question will be .. does it will play fine the above game ?

If you can buy a Quadro 5000 for $300 you are a magician. Those cards cost over $1600. Quadro card are for business software if you have a problem with a business application you can call the Quadro support and get free tech support. If you are using a GeForce gaming card and have a problem with a business application and call them they will say "Good Luck" and hang up on you. If the business software is more important buy a Quadro. If gaming is more important buy a Geforce.

Just make sure it has enough power for the 5000. Now sure how gaming will be on it. Never gamed on a NVS/Quadro Card before but most games only use 2 cores so having 12 won't make a different and they are 3 ghz CPU's. I mean don't get me wrong that is one powerful machine you got there still so you won't know till you try.

You can install any PCIE video card.
The Quadro series will be slower at gaming than their Geforce equivalents.
If you are not using it for Design purposes, buy a Geforce card.
The Quadro cards are for mission critical error-less design,rendering work,Scientific calculations, etc...
For VMs and gaming go for a Geforce GTX series card.

Your power supply is 1100 watts . It will run 10 750TIs. or Three GTX 980s
