Can I play some of these older games with HD 4400 graphics?

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone could tell me of some of these games will run decently on a Surface Pro 3. I have the i5 version, which has the HD 4400 graphics. Here are some games that I would like to try:

* Rome Total War
* Medieval II Total War
* Far Cry 2
* Just Cause 2
* NBA 2K11

These are just a few. With those listed, I would like to note that I will not be gaming "hardcore" on the SP3. I know that is not what the SP3 is built for. I will be streaming games from my gaming rig to the SP3, though.

I thought that I may be able to get a playable experience, though, with these older games. If not, fine. I really wasn't expecting it. If so, just an added bonus.

Thanks in advance for your responses!

probably yes, i was...

probably yes, i was gaming on a laptop with an i3 and hd 3000, i was able to run rome total war, even shogun 2 😀 so medieval shouldn't be a problem, i dont know about the other 3, but i guess they will, but expect very low graphics.

Great!

I just thought when I am not at home, I will be able to play these locally. I don't need great graphic settings, just something to pass the time by when I am away from my home network.

Thanks!

haha, okay, well, have fun :)
ps, dont forget to select a best answer 😛

I think you will be just fine. I play some games even on the HD3000 on my 3 year-old laptop. Low settings, true, but smooth. With the HD4400, which is miles ahead, you should be able to play decently on medium... maybe high. Especially these older games you listed.

Were you able to play those games? I just purchased Medieval II and i can't even get it to launch on my laptop and I have an intel HD 4400 card. What magic did you do to get this game (or Rome Total War ) to work on your computer?

i am able to run rome II total war with hd3000 (with some lag) and rome total war with medium settings i believe, and the 4400 is a lot more powerful, so you should be able to run medieval 2 and rome II.
