I have a Z97 motherboard with an i7 quad processor and a Radeon R9 280x gaming Msi OC edition. This graphics card has two different power connectors on it.
A 6-pin and an 8-pin.
However, the PSU I use for the Pc is a 500-watt Fractal Design R2 Integra, wich is not modulable and only provides :
a single 6+2 pin power connector for PciE3 cards.
Can I use an auxiliary PSU to provide the 6-pin power connector missing ?
Is it safe that the GPU has input power variations in such a way ? Because I cannot synchronise both PSUs to provide current at the same time.
If not, is it any other way to provide the 6-pin power connector using adapters, whitout buying a better PSU ?
