All DDR4 ram has a default 2133 speed that lets you get into the bios so you can overclock to higher speeds via XMP.
Yes, you can buy and use that ram, but you are paying a premium for rgb bling and a speed you can't use.
I currently have this motherboard: https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/GA-B250M-DS3H-rev-10#kf which only supports up to 2400MHz RAM. But I want to buy this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Corsair-Ve...sr_1_4?keywords=rgb+pro&qid=1570978458&sr=8-4 at 3200MHz.

Question is: Can I run the RAM on this motherboard? Reason I'm going for 3200MHz is because I'm planning on upgrading my MB in the near future. But I wanna know if it will still work in the meantime.

Thanks
Olly
It should work but only up to speeds your MB and CPU allow, should run at lower CL latency though, offsetting some performance drop.
