Can I put a Gt 740 4gb in my dell optiplex 790 MT

I have a dell optiplex 790 MT with 12gb of ram an Intel core i5 3.1ghz and a 265 wat psu. I was wondering if I could put a evga gt 740 4gb in my pc.

My main question is is my power supply good enough.

Marginal, but it should be fine. I have had a GTX 750 Ti in my 790 SFF running off the 240W PSU for quite awhile now. The GT 740 will even be less demanding.

The 750 is a much better choice.

GT 740 actually consumes more power according to Nvdia's website. GT 740 64w > 60w (750 ti)

Some of the 740s actually need a 6 pin PCIe. The 750 is a nice card. IMO people are asking too much for them compared to the 1050Ti 2GB.
The 750 is kind of old to move ahead to another computer. The 1050 is worth moving forward.
