Can i put an alienware 17 r2 Motherboard In an alienware 17 r3

My alienware 17 r3 motherboard dtoped working and i was wondering if a 17r2 motherboard fits inside my 17r3? Im asking because the r2 comes with a 980m and more slots to add ssd's.

I think it is a better idea to go with a new R3 motherboard, because it has better RAM and SSD options. If you get an R2 motherboard, you may have to downgrade some stuff. No guarantees though...

you can put one in the r3. some r3s come with the 980m, so, no problem. you just have to check if the chipset is compatible. the size is ok.

Well id be getting the whole mobo and the gou is soldered on to the board.
