i just bought a rx 570 gpu and it has 3 output ports i.e hdmi, display port and DVI but my monitor only has vga input. I have ordered a hdmi to vga adapter but is gonna be delivered in 2-3 days. I was wondering if it is possible to install gpu drivers while connected to mobo or using remote desktop. I can connect a hdmi to hdmi cable in my tv and gpu but my tv's hdmi slot is not working. Can i use it to fake " that i am connected to a gpu"?

Solution
You wont get any use from the driver if you install it. You can connect the monitor to motherboard and install it but the driver won't be helping you in anyway.

Peace.
You can install it but the driver wont be finding the GPU for it to work with as you will be connecting your monitor to your motherboard. But its better to stick with the default driver now as you never know if the display works or not using that driver. if it works then fine and if not you need to boot into safe mode and remove the driver until you get the VGA to HDMI cable.

Peace.

What if i remove the vga cable and use my hdmi to hdmi cable to connect the gpu to t.v. I wont be getting a display in tv but it will fake that i am connect to a monitor. Then i plan on to use remote desktop to connect to the system and install the drivers. Will this thing work?

there is no point in waiting for the connector as i am gonna use the system for mining.
