Can I replace AIO cooling pump?

My Antec Kühler H2O 920 failed miserably on my graphics card. I can feel the liquid flowing in one tube (hot) while no flow in the other(cold). At that point I might as well use the stock cooler.

I also shorted out my motherboard in the process of repair attempt to the cooler by working with a live circuit by plugin in the usb for the cooler. That's another story...

So to limit my expensive on repair, I was wondering if I could use the Asetek pump as a water block while connecting a separate pump/ reservoir to it. Will the existing motor in the pump affect the liquid flow?

Ideally, it should be warm in one side and cool in the other - this means that the warm coolant is heading into the radiator and it is being cooled, sent back to the pump. The tubing flows one way on one side and the other for the opposite, creating a flow 'loop'.

Are you certain the pump has failed? What temps are you seeing on your GPU at load?

These closed loop coolers have very poor pumps and they use cheap radiators. I know this thread is almost a month old, but there has not been any activity on it, so I thought I would offer some help.

If you really want to get into watercooling, have a read through the links in my signature below.
