Question Can I replace HDD with SSD?

My laptop has a 2.5 hdd in it and i'd like to buy an ssd instead. What kind of 2.5 ssd do I have to buy?

Samsung 860 evo 2.5"for example.

Oh so I don't have to look for anything specific? Are they all using sata-iii? (I'm just guessing my hdd is sata-iii)

All modern 2.5"SSDs are sata III.

Even if it was Sata 2 - it would be backwards compatible.

Are you wanting to CLONE your original disk though?

No I'm just going to install windows and everything on the new one
Why are there any benefits in cloning it?
And as I said I believe I can't plug both SSD amd HDD at the same time as there is only one SATA in my laptop

If you can't use both at the same time, then it doesn't matter - eg external USB to connect.
Anyway, the advantages are, you don't need to spend hours and hours reinstalling everything. Everything is EXACTLY as it was, just faster load speeds.

Thouse hours are gonna be so much fun compared to the hours my 5400rpm hdd needs to open chrome lol
