[SOLVED] can i reset my computer if i have unactivated windows? if so, do i have to reinstall windows after i do?

I have an unactivated windows and i ran into some problems with my hardware and i figured it will be easier if i just reset my com. however, it is very troublesome to redownload windows again. The reset option says that it would reinstall windows but if i have unactivated windows would they download it again?

How is it troublesome to download Windows 10?

Using the reset in Windows 10 is not the same thing as reinstalling Windows 10. It just keep or remove your files (question asked) and put your OS like when it was installed.

It is not the same thing as using Windows 10 install and wiping the drive and do a clean install.

reset just uses an image of win 10 already on the PC, although there is a new way to reset using online, i don't think you have to use it.
it doesn't care if you activated or not.
