Question Can I reuse the cables from old psu to new?

Hello, I just ordered a psu, 1st player ngdp 1000w gold, around 1 week ago, it has some rattling issues with the fan and I just ordered another identical one to test, maybe I just got a bad unit

Can I reuse the cables from my initial PSU to the new one? It takes 5 minutes, vs redoing all the cables from the PC

Both PSU are the same brand, same model, same wattage, atx and so on, basically identical, and since I ordered both in around 1 week apart, I doubt the seller has multiple revisions (if this psu even has more revisions to begin with) in stock

In your instance you could, since it's the identical unit. I'd still work with the cables that come with the unit instead of recycling, in fear that there might be a silent revision on the PSU as 1st players isn't an OEM of the PSU meaning they source their units from XYZ maker and ask them to slap a badge/sticker on it with 1st player written on it. An FYI, if you look around most of the threads around here, you'll see that being lazy only causes you to do more than twice the work if you did it right at first go.

You seem convinced. Go ahead but if I were in your shoes, I'd be cautious. If you knew what the pinout of the PSU as well as the PSU's were then I wouldn't doubt your path.

Just an FYI, you might want to just contact your seller as well as 1st player and let them know of the rattling you're hearing, that shouldn't be the case of a newly bought PSU, meaning you qualify for an RMA. So you should undo the cabling work then ship out the rattling PSU with it's bundled cables.
