[SOLVED] Can I run 144hz with this setup ?

I am planning to buy a 144hz monitor, specifically the AOC 24G2E, which apparently comes with a 1.4 HDMI Cable. Now the problem is my GPU which is an Asus RX 470 only supports DVI-D connection. My current setup right now is a HDMI monitor to a DVI-D GPU using a HDMI to DVI-D Adapter. Will the monitor use the 144hz refresh rate if I use this same Adapter of HDMI to DVI-D? (HDMI 1.4 Monitor to DVI-D GPU)
