Can I Run 3 Displays From An R9 290?

Hi,
I am intersted in running 3x 1080P monitors from my r9 290. The R9 290 has HDMI, DIsplay Port and 2 DVI-D ports. I have two monitors connected at the moment. One is connected thru DVI-D, the other one is connected thru an HDMI to DVI adapter. SO i want to connect my last monitor (Which is a VGA monitor) So should i buy a DVI-D to VGA adapter or a display port to vga adapter? Thanks

It will work fine. AMD all the way back to HD5870 Eyefinity edition has been able to run multiple displays. Probably farther back than that, some historian will correct me.

Apparently DVI-D cannot be converted to VGA. So i guess ill have to buy a display port to vga adapter then. Thanks

you will need DVI-D converter. Its cost not more than$2 in my place. Make sure get the correct pin as there was still old generation DVI-D converter

Ive been doing more research and DVI-D is not capable of converting to an analogue signal without a very expensive adapter. Ill just grab a displayport adapter for lik 5 bucks. Thanks anyway
