Hello, I want to buy DayZ StandAlone and I wonder if my computer can run this game.
The computer runs Battlefield 3 (I checked) so i think maybe it can run DayZ too.
Specs:
Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-2120 CPU @ 3.30GHz
NVIDIA GeForce GT 520
‎4.00 GB RAM
I checked in this site (the specs are in there):
http://www.game-debate.com/games/index.php?g_id=9221&game=DayZ+Standalone&p_make=Intel&p_deriv=Core+i3-2120+3.3GHz&gc_make=Nvidia&gc_deriv=GeForce+GT+520&ram=4&checkSubmit=#systemRequirements
and as you can see the GPU is not so good but i think that if it can run Battlefield 3 it can run also DayZ StandAlone.
I dont mind playing on medium graphics as long as the run runs withouts lags (I mean not an extra except from the bugs in this game)
Thank you!

Solution
The game runs bad at the moment even for people with ridiculously good rigs. When the game fully releases I assume it will be playable on low settings with your setup. Maybe an increase in the graphics to a GT 640, but I have a feeling that the CPU has a lot to do with this game. Have a look on the forums for DayZ, there's probably loads of people asking with similar setups to yours. Also there's a website where it scans your rig and you enter a game and it will tell you if its playable or not. Here's a link to the website:

Hope all goes well! :)

Are you sure? I dont want to waste 30$.
I know there are some bugs but still I believe that there are some level for specs to run this game.
So do you think it will run smooth on low settings? and do you know how bad it is?

OK, and how much do you think this upgrade will cost?

I checked already and all is fine except from my GPU, I think that if I set the game to LOW it will run smooth because my CPU is good enough, should I buy or be worry about the game and my computer?

I'd say it's probably time to upgrade a little, and if only one component, I'd go with the video card. I don't know what your budget is, but here's a card that should be a good boost over what you have now, for a decent price: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814133473&SortField=0&SummaryType=0&PageSize=10&SelectedRating=-1&VideoOnlyMark=False&IsFeedbackTab=true#scrollFullInfo

I'm not as familiar with the AMD offerings, so you could check those out as well.

Although, I don't have any experience with this game, so not sure if it would tax the CPU or GPU more. But a video card upgrade should help you across the board with every game.

I'm sure it will run okay, but if you do buy it and it doesn't then you should probably think about upgrading your GPU. You don't have to spend big masses of money, you can get a Nvidia GT 640 for about £60-70.

Hope this helps. :)

Im not going to buy a GPU that is not so good, if I buy a GPU it should be good enough to stay to 3 years atleast.
Lets not talk about GPU if I would like to buy I will let you know.
I downloaded the DayZ cracked game to see how it works and I chant find a server so I cant shceck how the game works, do you have any idea how can you help me?
