Can i run ddr400 in place of ddr2

Hi. I have a compaq presario running 256MB of DDR2 Ram. I have a 2GB DDR400 module. Can I use it? Will it improve performance?

Well, not only is it incompatible, you cannot physically plug one into the others slot, they won't fit.
