I started off playing Inquisition on my xbox 360, and now with the new DLC only available for new consoles and PC and me having some extra money to purchase the game again, I'm wanting to buy the game of the year edition for the PC. I do most of my gaming on consoles, so I really do not have gaming computers(nor do I know much about gaming computers), but I was wondering if either my laptop or desktop would be able to handle the game smoothly(even if it has to be on low settings) without killing my computer.

Here are the game's requirements:
Minimum:

OS

Windows 7 or 8.1 64-bit

CPU

AMD quad core CPU @ 2.5 GHz

Intel quad core CPU @ 2.0 GHz

System RAM

4 GB

Graphics CARD

AMD Radeon HD 4870

NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT

Graphics Memory

512 MB

Hard Drive

26 GB

DirectX

10

Recommended:

OS

Windows 7 or 8.1 64-bit

CPU

AMD six core CPU @ 3.2 GHz

Intel quad core CPU @ 3.0 GHz

System RAM

8 GB

Graphics CARD

AMD Radeon HD 7870 or R9 270

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660

Graphics Memory

2 GB

Hard Drive

26 GB

DirectX

11

Here is my laptop's specs:

OS
Windows 10

Processor
AMD A8-5545M APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics 1.70 GHz

RAM
8.00 GB (7.19 GB usable)

System Type
64 bit operating system, x64-based processor

Here is my desktop's specs:

Processor
AMD A8-5500 APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics 3.20 GHz

RAM
8.00 GB (7.43 GB usable)

System Type
64 bit Operating System

I have no idea if I provided the right information or not since I can be a bit clueless when it comes to this stuff, but I'd appreciate any kind of guidance or help about running this game. Also, I do know I really am unable to do any major upgrades on either computer, so what I have is what I am going to have to work with for gaming. I just wanted to run this by somebody who actually knows about computers before I spend $60 on a game I can't play.

Solution
DA:I can run on your desktop with low graphics and low resolution. But even then you will probably only get at best 25 FPS, and will likely get brief dips below 15 FPS from time to time.

That kind of performance is not worth buying DA:I GOTY on the PC unless you are willing to spend around $75 - $100 for a decent GPU.

I was assuming that was the case, but just wanted to double check. Thanks for the response!

Thanks for the info, I knew if it could run it would be on the lowest of low settings, but the details and specifics are good to know. Maybe sometime down the road I can look into upgrades for the computer, but for now I'll hold off on buying the game. Thanks again for the response!

The best solution is to save money for new console, you have great PC and Laptop for general use, you don't really need a 3rd PC that will cost $700+. Just get an XBOX One, there's almost no difference between them, look at this gameplay comparing PC to XBOX One playing DA:I.
