Cpu is too weak to keep a stable 30 fps. So my answer will be no.

what motherboard you have, you can update your cpu to quad core probably and on stock cooler you triple your cpu performance even without overclocking.

why you dont want to upgrade cpu? You say that its overclocked that means your mobo supports overclocking also

Just go quad core or something with less than 100w tdp and your fine

First off all this sounds like a SFF dell,hp,lenovo pc. Most have a bios lock in place preventing the useage of anything above a quadcore. Some cannot even power a quadcore due to those having a much higher power consumption.
Also don't forget that some also cannot cool a c2q.

ALWAYS think someone has the worst psu there is until you know exactly what they have. The thing with the 220w is that it's as old as the e5300 most likely. Therefore it will have lost quite a bit in terms of max power output due to age.

Not even close to a stable 30 FPS
I'll give you, on lowest settings, no eye candy, limitations and such, bare minimum, will be a stable 10~13 FPS with your current setup (aside from a crash or 2 on startup).

What you can do is look for a good upgrade! You have a capable low-end entry GPU and I would assume there are still decent lga775 cpus out there. (Zeon would be the cheapest upgrade from anywhere between 20-40 dollars.)


If you are willing To buy yourself a New CPU you also need to note that you will need a new PSU. To be more specific:
Gaming: 4 cores, 4 threads minimum. Low frequency is also a no-go. (I.E. 20 core but 1.2 GHz won't get you anywhere)


PSUs from other countries (China), don't buy it unless you are 350% sure you know what you are buying. Chinas standard Voltage is 220 while in the US it is 120 (Also frequency is different). Cheap may not always be the best option, In gaming, you want quality. You could get an adapter but why hassle? It would cost more for that too overall.

I'm in the UK, I don't want to get a cup because I don't know how to install it safely on my system ho pavilion slimline s5206uk. There are no tutorials for this pc btw. Can you tell me which cpu is the best for its price that will work (under £100)

Cpu installation is pretty simple actually. Remove the front panel (The side) of the pc and unscrew the fan/heat sync. Then gently lift the CPU holder and remove your old CPU. Place the new one in >>Put it in correctly or else you will break your whole system<< Then once its fits all snug you want to gently close down on the CPU holder and clamp it down. Rescrew the heat sync and fan and close the panel.

Any CPU replacement video should give you a nice idea of how it's done, it fairly similar to almost every CPU.

Thermal pastes i suggest NT-H1 and GC gelid extreme, latter even slightly better. Use 80-90% isoprophyl alcohol to clean cpu, with wipes or qtips dipped into alcohol

EDIT: you need these thermal pastes only if you want to overclock your new cpu further, but also if you buy used Graphics card (since you need psu and Graphics card) and want to overclock these are nice paste for gpu chip too, went 10c lower after repasting with gc gelid extreme on my gtx 670

Without bios lock? So I can over clock? Right now my bios won't let me with e5300 cpu

No i meant some manufactors dont include microcode in bios for quad core processors, that means you cant boot with them or get black screen etc, didnt mean overclocking, 95% sure your motherboard wont support overclocking at all.
Your desktop motherboard supports upgrade to quad core, if your using stock cooler that might be sufficient only for dual core but you can upgrade if it needed. I think your fine with stock cooler cause you cant overclock it anyway. Just add quality thermal paste i suggest gc gelid extreme or nt-h1
